Anti-Hiatus Spell: Murakami Special!

My life’s not THAT special ya? No secret ’bout THAT. heh. A little piano here, a little exercise there..gee whiz. Quite interesting thing is that, through my extreme boredom, I ‘ve discovered myself a new favourite author! I’ve seen his books for quite some time on the shelves in the book stores I’ve been to. Maybe you’ve seen him too?
Haruki Murakami’s the name! And writing’s his game. and DAMN! He’s so friggin’ good at it! His style of writing is so, so…complex, exciting, mind-boggling, confusing, yet in a certain eventuality..complete! It’s really wierd, by my standards, and my standards ALONE are wierd, so go figure. This author fuses normality with imagination so freakingly well, its ..umm.. freaky! You’re lost in the book, taken in by its simplicity of dealing with the simplest of human fantasies. The way he potrays his characters, the most minute of details, brings you SO MUCH into his spinning yarn, you literally LOOSE focus of the real world. Seriously, when I first read ‘Kafka on the Shore’, his latest offering, it spellbinded me sooo much, I was a bit disillusioned with real life. I wanted to live in the book itself! The adventures, the serenity, the sex (yes, sex.) was all…so…surreal, yet human. Wow. My imagination was given such a HUGE TREAT! Maybe many of you don’t know, but I’m a person very much activated by my huge imagination (thats how I play the piano. go figure.). The adventures, the serenity, the se..umm. no. not the sex. I don’t IMAGINE the sex. I HAVE it. hahaha! ok nevermind that. Anywayz, I just completed ‘Norwegian Wood’, another wonderful masterpiece from the master himself, and I’m gonna begin on ‘Dance Dance Dance’ soon enough. All 3 books in 3 weeks. Damn I’m addicted.
So yeah, my blog hiatus’ just about over now. First thing’s first, let me first congratulate the latest couple on the (en-)block, Chweng and May! Who woulda thought. I still remembered that fateful day you guys met at Grace’s very eventful freshman orientation thingy. It was love at first sight..ok maybe not. You guys didn’t talk much. But look at both of ya now. Rings and all. Sigh. Young love. I remember back in MY day…haha! ok, justttt kidding! lol. Anywayz, may you guys live happily ever after!
