Singapore Biathlon Talentime Presentation Medley!
Wow. Its been a pretty hectic month. Ok, understatement of the year. SUPER hectic month more like it…or more like months. These final months in school has been the most hectic and rewarding in my whole 3 years. I had 4 big-scale presentations (to the distinction panel, board of directors, audience of 400 people, etc.), took part in my school’s talentime AND took part in the Singapore Biathlon 2005. Phew! Now its the finals. The final finals. Heh heh ; - ; . I feel a little sad, ya know. Finishing school soon. *sigh*. Whatever it was, it was the best of times, the worse of times. I’m really gonna miss it. Seriously am. My friends, the places within, the fun times. ARGH! My youth is withering away. Let me contribute a Haiku poem to this sadness I feel…
Boku nakeru;
Demo kono namida;
Shiawase da!
I shed tears;
But these tears..;
Its happiness!
Haii~~. A day till the exams. My final exams. So sad…. > _ < ;
Anyways, a few pics!
My Biathalon Experience. Now I'm officially a biathlete! Take THAT!
Before:....(the guy in the middle...ergh..)

Now (23 kgs lighter):

Came in 369th out of over 1000 people who took part in the Biathlon. Pretty good for a guy who was fuckin’ overweight 2 years ago. Feelin’ pretty good. Anything is possible in this world if you work hard for it.

My training buddies and me.

Cool souvenirs! 33mins for my 1.5 KM swim (was one of the top 30 or so people who came out of the water ^^), and 1hour 5mins for my run. The run slowed me down a LOT. It could have been a lot faster, my training time was 44 mins for a 10km run. Race day was kinda different. Very psychological. Seeing people running towards you (after a U-turn), and you keep expecting it to be coming soon, but you never seem to reach it. .. Haha.
Now, the Talentime!

We came in fourth out of 6 groups. A really fun experience. Met a lot of very talented people, and it was seriously one of the most fun times I’ve ever had. The practices and the interactions with so many types of people. Totally fabulous!
The guy playing the piano is meee! Played an X Japan-Richard Marx Medley. Grace was on the drums and Dave on the lead vocals. I did the chorus for both songs (The Last Song and Right Here Waiting). Heh.
Have a few pics of my presentation, but will upload them for later
Now before I forget, remind me to get a camera tripod before my school ends. I’m going to take so many photos (including a lot of high-resolution panorama shots) of those memorable places within my school and of my friends, its gonna be the best photo diary EVER!
Oh, and I was thinking of setting up a little band for the performance of The Last Song by X Japan in like, cosplay events, etc. So far its me on the piano, my friend Ash on the bass and Mun Chiew on vocals. We need 2 more guitarists and a drummer! I think I might have a few people for these positions, will have to contact them soon, heh. Wish me luck!
Anywayz, thats all from me man. Gonna sleep and prepare for tomorrow’s examinations: Mass Transfer Unit Operations ‘B’! ALL THE WAY BABY!
